Delete Account

When you choose to delete your AccrediMatch Care Professional Account, we will do the following.

We will immediately remove your account from the marketplace where it is visible to Health Care Organizations (HCO) that are looking for Care Professionals (CP) like yourself.  No one will be able to see you or your data on the platform.

If you have not engaged in a Job on the AccrediMatch platform (this includes accepting an assignment, applying for a Job, or being invited to apply to a Job) all your data will be deleted from our platform.  The data held by our partners, Checkr, our criminal background check partner, and Stripe, our payment processing partner, is subject to their account deletion rules (explained below).

If you have engaged in a Job on the AccrediMatch platform, we will not be able to delete the portions of your data that are shared with any HCO.  The reason is that, as licensed health care providers, they have a regulatory responsibility to provide archival data to regulators, Medicare and other stakeholders when it is requested.  For example, they need to be able to verify that you had a valid professional license when you performed a Job for them two years ago.  AccrediMatch will store this data and provide it to the HCO when a valid request is submitted.

We will also keep a copy of any communication between yourself and the HCO.  AccrediMatch will store this data and provide it to the HCO when a valid request is submitted.

The data retention requirements vary by state but are typically 5 years.  AccrediMatch will delete your data when the data retention period has expired.
